Cousins

Laurie and Matthew visited this afternoon. It was a very relaxing visit (including naps for both babies, and a yummy brisket courtesy of Brian's BBQ smoker), and it was quite a trip to see little cousin Matthew again. Two months is a kind of "in-between" age, because Matthew is certainly coming out of his newborn stage (some call it the "fourth trimester," when babies still are pretty ill-suited to be in the outside world), but he's still making the funny noises and jerky movements that very little babies make.

Matthew is two months old, and it is just remarkable to see him and to try to remember Maia at that age. It's actually quite hard to do, so, I re-read some of our February and March blog entries and took a look at the photos of Maia when she was about two months old. That whole period is still a bit foggy for me, but it did help to revisit it via our digital memories! Thank goodness for the Internet! :)

So, take a look at our new photo album. That's a heckuva lot of photos for one day! :)
