Maia woke up crying about an hour ago, and when I went in the room to see her, she reported that she had a "dream about Dada." When I asked her for more detail, here's where she went with it:
"Dada's going to bring me a surprise. I live in Ann Arbor. You and I (yes, that's how she phrased it) live in Ann Arbor. Dada's going to Seattle. Dada lives in Seattle!"
Maybe she's having a dream anticipating the likely event that she'll miss Brian while he's gone? She might have extrapolated to him living somewhere else, rather than just visiting. That would be a sad dream indeed. In any case, she and I are driving to East Lansing tomorrow to spend two and a half days with her beloved Nana and Papa, so I'm sure that she'll have a good weekend, even with Brian's absence. I'm sure many photos will follow.
