Just a quick post to record Maia's three-year appointment info. for posterity's sake. She's 38.75 inches tall (about 90th percentile), weighs 32.2 pounds (about 50th percentile), and is ridiculously healthy. Our pediatrician summed-up the appointment by saying "She's perfect," and then spent most of the time talking with Maia about the doctor's equipment that she had used.
Maia got two vaccinations; she said "Ow!" as she got the first, and "Ew!" as she got the second, and then immediately started asking for her Band-Aids and stickers. She reported that the vaccinations "were only a little bit owie because they weren't a surprise." That makes me not regret the hours we spent talking about vaccinations leading up to the actual appointment. :)
