I've been gone quite a bit over the last several days. I was in Colorado on Friday and Saturday, and then yesterday I began a week-long seminar during the business hours in Toledo. I come home every evening at about 5:30, depending upon the traffic from Toledo to home.
Today, at our family dinner at a restaurant after my day away, Maia began expressing her opinions about my absence. She said "Mama, I miss you so much I can't hold it. I want to sit in your lap so that my whole self is with you. How long will it be until you'll be with me all day? [Commence with kisses all over my arm.] Promise not to wash this arm until you're all done with your class, okay?"
Heart melting. The rest of the week will pass by so s-l-o-w-l-y after that.
