More pictures!!!

Maia Donna Genisio is now over 1 day old, and I have taken a ton more pictures. We put them in the album that you can get at by clicking on Maia's name below.

Today was a relatively uneventful day, which is a good thing. Cara's mom, dad and sister came to visit for about an hour, but for the rest of the day, the three of us got to know each other more. Cara healed, and the baby slept most of the day. She is so peaceful, and I was able to get what I consider some really great shots of her. She only has her eyes open halfway in two of the pics. She really slept a lot.

Tomorrow, assuming everything goes as well as it has with Maia and Cara's recovery, we will leave the hospital for home. Cara has not slept much at all. She is a really light sleeper and I would be surprised if she has slept 3 hours in the last 3 nights. So, tomorrow is "quiet day" with the new family. This means that the cell phones will be turned off, and Cara will rest or sleep most of the day. We will not accept visitors, and only answer the phone on our land line... that way, Cara can sleep, Maia can feed, and the three of us (five if you include dogs) can acclimate to our new life. We love you all and appreciate your support, but tomorrow is all about us. We hope you understand.
