Sam and Maia

We've been really lucky to have time with Sam (whose birth I was present for--one of my life's highlights) these past couple of weeks on Tuesdays, and we will continue to see him weekly through June.

Maia says "baby!" over and over again whenever Sam is around, and today she began proudly identifying his nose, mouth, feet, ears, etc. (She's definitely into the naming-parts phase of verbal and intellectual development at the moment.) You can see her pointing to Sam's nose and mouth in a couple of the photos I posted.

We took a long, beautiful walk around the block (Maia in the stroller, Sam in the baby carrier--how do parents of two kids ever survive without a baby carrier?) and then Maia decided it was time for Sam to read a couple of books once we were back in the house.

Seeing Maia with Sam just makes it hit home, how BIG Maia is getting... It's unavoidable, she's just not a baby anymore!
