New stuff.

We just posted a new video--included in the "Video" section of the genisio.org website--that I shot this afternoon. It includes all sorts of fun stuff, such as Maia spitting up, Mona licking at said spit-up (gross!), and Maia showing off her crazy head-holding skills. It's a must see!

What else? We went to the library today; Brian got his library card (Maia and I already have ours), and we checked out some books on how to make your own baby food. We're not into the idea of buying all the pre-processed stuff, so we're going to see if we can manage to make Maia's food when she's ready to start solids in a few months. It's cool to have access to the Ann Arbor library system; our branch is small but brand new. It even has grass growing on the roof! Library access--another Genisio Family Money Saving Tip! Much better than repeated trips to Borders or Barnes & Noble.

Maia and I have enjoyed the extremely warm weather over the past couple of days by taking walks. Yesterday, we wandered around downtown Ann Arbor and U of M's campus for an hour or so. Today, we took a couple of walks in our neighborhood. Regardless of whether I use the sling or the stroller, Maia invariably falls asleep sometime during our walks, but they're relaxing and good exercise for me whether or not she's awake. People are quite surprised by her when I carry her in the sling; her little head peeks out of it, and she's usually holding the edge of it with one hand. A couple of days ago, someone exclaimed "There's a baby in there!"

I have removed this whole comment thread... it got a bit out of control.
