What's Maia doing now?

Here are a few new things that Maia has started to do in the last few days:

1) Laugh! We've only heard it once, but it was definitely a laugh.
2) Deliberately grabbing things. While Brian was giving her a bottle today, she was staring at it and grabbing at it with her hands. It was very "on purpose."
3) Knowing what things are for (very short term memory, perhaps?). In the last two days, Maia has opened her mouth just as we brought her a pacifier when we were putting her to bed at night.

These little things are so amazing. It also seems like her 3-month-ish growth spurt is over; we're back to somewhat of a normal sleep schedule (six hours for the first period, up at 2 AM, then five more hours after that) and Maia doesn't seem hungry as often as she did on Thursday and Friday. It's really cool how this "demand then supply" system of nursing works out. Nature is so brilliant!
