The Life and Times of the Family G

So, we've done this to you before, loyal blog readers. We're changing up our blog yet again. Here's what Brian and I were talking about tonight: we love keeping this blog and writing about the Inimitable Maia G, but we've both felt lately that the last couple of months have brought about quite a change in the life of our family. It feels like Maia is almost completely out of her babyhood, and her place in our family life has changed as she's blossomed into a toddler. The three of us have conversations now about our evening plans! Maia likes to joke with us and has familiar refrains in her humor to which she returns again and again. Our family life is about the three of us now, three individuals, rather than two individuals and "a baby" around whom all life seemingly revolves.

And so, what does this mean? Well, we've been maintaining a couple of blogs for a while now; we brought our blog "The Family G" into being a couple of months ago to chronicle our efforts to live a greener life (whatever that means!). We think we'd like to merge these two blogs into one, and just use this space as our everything blog: Maia's toddlerhood, our CSA membership, politics, work, cooking, parties, friends, drum circles, vacations . . . LIFE. :)

You readers out there won't need to change anything; use the same URL that you always have. Our blog title might change, and we might tweak the format a bit, but that's neither here nor there.
