We're leaving for vacation in five days, and we're so excited we can barely stand it. Brian, in particular, is probably not far from counting the actual minutes before we arrive at the place on Lake Charlevoix.
What's included in our plans:
1) oodles of time outdoors
2) sailing
3) swimming
4) S'Mores and wine by the fire after the sun sets
5) time with my sisters who live WAAAAY too far away
6) a couple of jaunts into Charlevoix and Boyne City
7) Maia's first swim in our wonderful Great Lakes
8) a meal and drinks on the patio at Chester's Landing
9) the Ironton ferry
10) reading two or three books during the week
11) no TV
12) a change of scenery
13) conversation, conversation, conversation . . .
We can't wait. Can we express how much we appreciate Nana Dawn and Papa Stan for giving our family this opportunity? I don't think so.
