I know it has been almost 19 months since the day Maia was born, but our official birth story has been published. Lamaze asked me to write the birth story from my point of view for a "Dad's Page" of resources. I wrote "The Birth" story where the "Postpartum Thoughts" section was transposed from an interview I did with the woman who put the site together.

Brian, Cara and Maia,
I have a day to myself which is unusual. My men are all at a fantasy football draft. I checked your blog to confirm Maia's birthday for a new phonebook/organizer that I am filling in for Maia's Great Grandma Genisio and saw your birth story. Maia is beautiful, but so are her mommy and daddy. I loved your story. It was beautiful. I love you. Hope to see you all soon.
