Yay, us!

With some focus, effort, and thought, our energy bill this month was half the amount of the previous month! Yay!

So, particularly to Auntie Jo: the Roman strategy works, to a large degree, even here in Michigan, even with our suburban-style buildings. Thanks for the idea, and for the encouragement. :)

It's going to be about 90-degrees today, and humid as always. The fans are running this morning already, the shades are drawn, and I would LOVE it if I didn't feel the need to turn on the AC.

That's just great! I'm a devotee of the Roman system.

Man, how things change... remember two years ago, when you had just bought the house, how upset you were to discover that it had no central air conditioning?

In your current mindset, you probably wouldn't be too bothered by that at all!

I know! The contrast is interesting. Now, of course, we haven't yet encountered that week of 100-ish-degree temperatures that tends to come in late July or August. I'll be happy for the AC then, I'm sure. I'm not that strong yet. :)

Ok, now I'm all curious, what's the roman system?
