Good morning!

Hey everyone! I hope that all of the Maia G blog readers had an excellent weekend. Maia is napping right now (at 10:20 AM) after another good night of sleep. We're happy to report that six- and seven-hour stretches of sleep are becoming the norm now, rather than the exception. Maia woke up this morning at 7:30 AM, and then was sleepy again by 8:45; she's been asleep since then.

We had a good weekend here. We did our usual Sparrow/Farmers' Market/Zingerman's shopping trip on Saturday morning, and then Grandpa Stan and Nonna Dawn were here to help us with some yard work; we've now put in a very large bed of mulch on the left side of our backyard, and another medium-sized bed along the front of the house. After the yard work and dinner (BBQ ribs--check out Brian's BBQ blog for more info!), Brian and I went out to a wine bar here in Ann Arbor for a couple of hours while the Grandparents Hecker hung out with Maia at the house.

What's on the docket for this week? Well, today Maia and I are going to go to the second-hand kids' store to sell some of the clothes that she's outgrown. She'll probably have a bath today, too. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my Master's advisor at EMU (I'm switching programs, so I'm sure there will be a bit of paperwork to do--hoops to be jumped through!). On Thursday Maia and I begin our Mother/Baby Group, which will be every Thursday afternoon for the next eight weeks at the Ann Arbor-Lamaze office.

And, of course, after my interview last Monday, I'm waiting to hear back about the job. They said it would be a week or so until I could get an answer from them--my references in Royal Oak were all on Spring Break last week--so I'm still relaxed. Ask me again in a few days, though, and we'll see if I'm still mellow then!

It's very windy outside and our garbage pick-up was this morning, and I think I hear our recycling bins bouncing and rolling around in front of the house. I think I'd better get them. Later.
