Hello friends and family,
We've made the blog private now, so if you're here, it's because you're one of a very select few. Isn't that special?? Anyway, let Brian or I know if there's ever a problem with logging-in and reading what we've written here.
Maia is napping right now, which has put a bit of a kink in my plans for the day. But certainly there's not one reader out there who's surprised that a baby isn't going along with my vision of the day's schedule! I was hoping to attend a La Leche League meeting here in town at 10:00, but Maia's sleep is the higher priority (after a semi-rough night). No worries--there's another meeting next Thursday evening.
This was a very important week for us, because Brian and I spent a couple hours analyzing our finances on Monday evening and came to the conclusion that I will stay home with Maia for a year longer than we'd initially planned. So, rather than starting the process of finding a teaching job for August 2007, I will be looking into options for things I can do a couple of evenings a week to supplement Brian's income, to meet people in the community, and to stay connected to ideas and work that I care about. I'm superstitious about going into specifics here before things are solidified, so let's just say that there are things in the works. I'll write more when we shift from "maybe" into "yes."
