Appointment update.

We saw the doctor this morning, and all is well, with no significant changes from our last appointment two weeks ago . . .
  • The baby's heart rate is strong at 145.
  • My blood pressure remains very low for late pregnancy.
  • My belly is measuring 35 inches or so, which matches the number of weeks (as it should).
  • Whatever contractions I'm having are still Braxton-Hicks, because there's no pain or dilation.
  • The baby's head is still down, so it looks like we're going to avoid the hassles of a Breech position.
My last bi-weekly appointment is in two weeks, and then I'll be going in on a weekly basis. My doctor says that because we're at 35 weeks, they wouldn't do much at all to try to stop labor now if it were to start (in contrast to a few weeks ago, when they'd use several interventions to try to stop an early labor). In other words, everything seems to be safe, and the baby is mature enough that it's not medically dangerous to deliver at this point. Good news.

Katie,

Not useless! We love hearing from you. Indeed, we were given the MSU gear from the Zelbas, and we had to buy the UofM gear on her own... not too many UofM people at the shower :)

You had to buy the UofM gear on HER
own? Was that a slip up?

Not a slip up!!! Brian meant that "Cara had to buy U of M gear on her own." Brian has an issue with proofreading. :)
