Two big events today!
1) The baby's first vote. The three of us--Brian, baby and I--went in at 7:30 AM. Voting in Ann Arbor was an interesting experience: the local mayor and city council seats are being contested between the Democrats and the Greens. It seems that they don't even bother running Republicans here.
2) The baby's first Shakespeare this evening: "The Tempest." The Royal Shakespeare Company is in town, and Brian got me tickets to this play for my birthday. Patrick Stewart (Capt. Jean Luc Picard, of course!) is in the role of Prospero.
Here's hoping that Baby G keeps these two habits going!

Hi Cara and Brian,
I am sitting here on Friday (I took a day to get report cards and comments done). I am watching the today show and they are talking about preparing your dogs for the baby's arrival. I was wondering if this was something you had looked into. They suggested things such as playing a CD with babies crying and making noises to get the dog used to hearing the noises. Even giving the dogs treats when they hear the sounds to reinforce. Sounded interesting just thought I would share the idea. Have a great day!! See you soon!
