Not much to report.

Bummer of a football game today. Oh, well. We had a very good time hanging out with Lesley and Rob and their family members who were watching the game. And, as I told Lesley upon our arrival, I didn't expect Michigan to be able to beat OSU this year. Still, bummer.

My next O.B. appointment is on Monday morning. I think, after this point, I'll be going in there once a week. I wonder if, at this point, it's pretty common for moms-to-be to start to worry more frequently about the baby's health? I'm not obsessing about it by any means, but, the questions seem to be popping into my head a bit more often: is the baby going to be okay? Is he/she a healthy weight? Am I doing what I need to be doing in order to help the birth go as smoothly as possible?

When I was in the hospital last week, they told me I should be drinking 8-10 bottles (yep, that's 16 oz. bottles!) of water a day. The usual word from nutritionists is 8-10 glasses of water (8 oz.), but, at this point in pregnancy, dehydration can bring about preterm labor, and so they go a bit crazy with the water. Let me tell you, it is not easy to drink that much water in a day and still teach for 3 hrs. at a stretch! Especially when your bladder is smushed into places where it normally wouldn't be.

I'm very much looking forward to Thanksgiving. This is really one of my favorite holidays, just because it's based so much on spending time with family. It also hasn't become excessively commercialized, so it seems that the heart of the holiday is still intact. By "heart," I don't mean the origins of the holiday, but rather the reason behind why it continues to be celebrated--just spending time with people you care about and giving thanks for what you have. At least, that's the way that I still see it. So, if I don't write again before then, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
