Neither the noodles, nor the eggplant helped us out. That's 0 for 3 on the Eggplant Parmesan. We went to the doctor today, and found out that the baby hasn't started to drop yet.
So, we wait... but not too long. 2 weeks from now is the longest we can go until we have to induce. Unfortunately, it is starting to look like we might have to induce...
There is a little bit of medical intervention that we will try next week, to see if that helps at all.
The good news is that the Cara and the Baby both seem really healthy, and everything else about this pregnancy has been really smooth. I just feel bad for Cara. She is so uncomfortable lately! She's a tough bird, but this baby is taking a lot out of her.
Soon, my friends... Soon

Good luck guys. I think about you and Baby G's situation every day.
There are lots of words in these recent entries, and all of them are important, of course - but to me the words that really carry all the meaning are "Cara is healthy, the baby is healthy." I know you don't WANT to have to induce labor, for all sorts of reasons; I know you are impatient to meet the little stinker ASAP, and get your body back. But Cara is healthy, the baby is healthy. Cara is healthy, the baby is healthy. As long as you're still writing those words - and as long as you have good doctors watching you closely, good hospitals nearby, all the pieces in place for a safe and successful birth, no matter what form it takes - then I think we all have so much reason to feel comforted, and excited, and have faith...
I can't even IMAGINE how trite this must sound to you right now, but I'll risk it: just think of all the women, around the world AND in your own country, who go through pregnancies without all of the advantages and privileges you've had! You're so loved, so protected, so lucky - and that's just what your baby bugger will be, too, as soon as it decides to make an appearance.
(Makes me think of all the crackpot old psychoanalytic philosophies about humans and water, or humans and sex, or whatever - and how so much of what we strive for in our lives represents the enactment of a desire to return to the protective comfort of our mother's womb. Your poor little cub, it's just trying to hang out safe and warm a little longer!)
Much love from your repetitive middle sister.
Hi there,
So here's another remedy someone told me to suggest to you to encourage the baby along - Kraft macaroni and cheese and A1 sauce. Together. On the phone I told Cara it was tabasco sauce. Oops. I meant A1. That is the magic ingredient. And eat it on a full moon to really be sure. Good luck
